One Monthly Goal Number One – Check!
My first goal was to catch up on my 2017 Island Batik Ambassador challenge for October…yes, I know this is the end of January but I got a little behind in my monthly challenges (I’m blaming everything on Hurricane Harvey – grin). I had originally pulled fabric and a pattern that I thought I would be using…but then, as women sometimes do, I changed my mind! I am still going to make the quilt I pulled fabric for, but not sure what month I will set this as a goal – so if you are following the linky party then perhaps this will come back up and you’ll say “humm..that looks familiar…” For clarification of the goal – the goal was to complete the October challenge NOT use a particular pattern or fabric. So technically this goal was completed – that’s my story and I’m stickin to it!
One Monthly Goal Number Two – Check!
Goal number two was to complete my last 2017 Island Batik Ambassador project ON TIME for the scheduled blog hop. I am happy to report that I accomplished that goal and have really enjoyed the responses and comments on the blog hop post
One Monthly Goal Number Three – Check!
This was the hardest goal and one I actually just finished – cleaning out my studio. And I don’t mean cleaning up or decluttering, I mean cleaning out as in emptying! All but the longarm table has been removed in anticipation of reconstruction after Hurrican Harvey 5 months ago! I am thankful to see the floor and take a good look at it because after the redo it’s not going to be hot pink anymore. Sigh.
One Monthly Goal Complete!
I’ve enjoyed this exercise in setting goals and being accountable. I plan on “playing along” next month in February – wait! That’s tomorrow! Better figure out soon what I want to do in this short month! I will give you a brief hint – in honor of today’s Super Blue Blood Moon, I plan on using Island Batik’s new fabric line Blue Moon, which I have purchased and am so eager to cut up and use! Stay tuned!
This is Karen Overton, The Quilt Rambler, feeling accomplished in meeting the January One Monthly Goals!
