At the speed of lightening…or so it seems as we have had more than our fair share of lightening lately!
Forgive me dear readers, it’s been 15 days since my last ramble…and I promise I’ve not been muzzled (although some may wish that could happen every now and then)…life has been a whirlwind (and thankfully no tornados). Sew much to tell you, so much going on….they say a picture is worth a thousand words so this rambler is going to speed through my last two weeks in photos! Fasten your seatbelt – The Quilt Rambler has been living life on full throttle and I’m past eager to catch up!
Some how the rain clouds haven’t figured out that it’s May already! Guess I’m not the only one a little behind (grin). Actually April Showers is the name of a pattern I taught Saturday April 27th here in the Land Locked Quilting Cruise Classroom ~ I might mention that when The Quilt Rambler hosts workshops here that the students bring only fabric, everything else is provided, sewing machines, the use of all the Studio 180 Design tools…together we provide the fun and laughter. And we do get some quilting in!
My next adventure would be The Quilt Rambler on the Road ~ this time speaking at the Woodlands Area Quilters Guild on May 1st with a workshop on May 2nd ~ but first to piece the class sample!
Tornado Warnings and Two Quilt Shows
It’s a New Week
And what a week it’s been! From computer issues (nothing like a day of being on the phone with tech support), to flash flooding (5 inches in the past 2 days), to remaking my Geese Over Galveston Bay quilt for next weekend’s quilting cruise … to celebrating a new facebook group…to welcoming a new tool in the quilting tool box…here’s my ramble in photos…
Are you all tuckered out with my rapid fire photo catchup from the past two weeks? Hope not, cuz there’s more!
I hope it was fast! I promised a movie date with hubby as soon as I posted this! Normally my rambles are a lot more…well…wordy…but as you can see every day is full to overflowing with lots of quilting activities and trying to keep our heads above water (pun intended). This next week will be super busy too as I prepare for the quilting cruise with Stitchin Heaven. I am so excited to know that I will have 3 days of instruction with over 90 students (one third each day). I can hardly wait to introduce them to the Wing Clipper to make their 240 flying geese for Geese Over Galveston Bay
I hope to steal away a moment to play with the new Wedge Star tool ~ it’s mind boggling the endless designs possible with this tool ~ I can hardly believe that one tool makes units from 3 inches to 22 inches! But then again, that’s why we all love Deb Tucker.
I truly hope you will join all the Tucker fans on the new facebook group. I am enjoying all the show and share photos, today we hit 700 members and we’d love to have you join us!
If you are new to The Quilt Rambler I hope you will take a little time to look around the website, read a few older blogs, and subscribe to the blog (button is on the right sidebar) to keep up with the latest happenings. There’s always something going on in The Quilt Rambler studio or with The Quilt Rambler on the road! In another week it will be The Quilt Rambler on the high seas!! Hope you will share the journey with me!
Until next time, this is Karen Overton, The Quilt Rambler, wishing you sunny days and little umbrellas in your sweet tea!
