Thank you, everyone, for participating in the Island Batik Ambassador Great Outdoors Blog Hop these past 5 weeks. In case you missed a few I’m reposting the links at the bottom of this ramble. Island Batik had a “grand prize” for all who hopped around with us as well as most of the ambassadors offered their own giveaways.
An International Winner!
I’m pleased to announce the winner of my giveaway, Marie from Belgium! She’s already been contacted and emailed her prize! Due to international shipping, Marie has received a digital copy of my newest pattern Geese Over Galveston Bay in lieu of the Eight At Once Technique Sheet and Island Batik fabric I was offering stateside – so that just means there will be a future giveaway so stay tuned!
Speaking of giveaways…
Please revisit my post from yesterday where a new blog hop has started with lots of prizes My Happy Place Row Along – and of course, I made my block with the beautiful Island Batik fabrics!
On a personal note:
Please forgive my tardiness in replying to post comments – it’s been a busy few weeks trying to finalize things with the Hurricane Harvey reconstruction coming to a close. In case you missed it, we were given the keys to the kingdom on Friday and have begun moving back in. We are having difficulties getting our bed delivered and set up but the couch arrived yesterday and it’s a pure luxury to be able to sit on something so comfortable – for a year it has been lawn chairs or stools (or the padded computer chair). There are a few details that still need to be polished up with the final construction but nothing that is keeping us from moving things in. It’s going to be a very long process as things are scattered between a garage, a storage unit, and a truck container – not to mention the things we have been using while living in the RV. We are so excited to be on this side of the Harvey story – and appreciate continued prayers for strength and endurance as we enter this new chapter in our lives! Can’t wait to get my longarm home! But it will be until the first of the year before I’m taking in new customer quilts. Have several other obligations that must come first including making a baby quilt for my sweet Reagan who is due in just 8 short weeks!

Hi Karen! Congrats to Marie! I am so excited for you on so many fronts, but sweet Reagan is certainly at the top of the list. Moving into your home again has to be just so very emotional. {{Hugs}} Enjoy every moment of finding a new resting place for each item. You’ll never remember where you put half of it!! HAHA! ~smile~ Roseanne
Thank you Karen ! I downloaded the pattern and it looks fabulous. I wanted tout try something with geese so it’s perfect.
I’m so glad you like it Marie – be sure and share photos of your quilt!!
Congratulations to Marie! Karen, I’m SO happy for you being able to move back into your home – even if it is just a little at a time! Hang in there, my friend! The best is yet to come! <>
