Big Reveal – 2nd Island Batik Ambassador Box Opening

Additional Sponsors Aurifil Thread and Hobbs Batting

Talk about Christmas in July! I just opened my 2nd box as a 2018 Island Batik Ambassador and my oh my the fabrics are so bright and colorful!

As an Island Batik Ambassador, we are given two boxes a year with fabrics to use in completing our monthly challenges. The first box came back in February and had fabrics from the Fall Market 2017 as well as a surprise fabric from the Spring Market 2018 (which at that time had not been introduced to the public). This newest box contains fabrics that were released this past May in Portland at Spring Market. As I’ve mentioned before, “market” is the wholesale buyers’ tradeshow for our quilting industry – it’s exciting for quilt shop owners to attend workshops and walk the vendor mall to chose what they would like to bring home to their shops to share with you as you shop locally.

Okay, so without much more rambling, here’s today’s YouTube box opening. A little disclaimer, I filmed outside and I apologize for the light changes as the cloud cover changed as well as I think there was a bug that flew between me and my iPhone camera. I don’t profess to be a professional photographer or videographer, but I hope you will forgive me and just sit back and enjoy the surprise of unboxing such a beautifully FULL box of Island Batik fabrics.

Thank you to Island Batik’s Partners, Auriful Threads, and Hobbs Batting. Their contributions make our quilting complete.

Even knowing there would be fabulous fabrics in the box, the anticipation and joy of discovering just WHAT fabric was included sure made it feel like Christmas in July!
