There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Today was my season to walk away and take time to reflect, to breathe, and to be renewed.
Hope you enjoy the photo journey of my day on Galveston Island.
To my friends who have lost loved ones, or whose loved ones are nearing their final journey, know that you are not alone – you are being lifted up in prayer by those who care. May you find comfort and peace during this time. Just breathe.
This is Karen Overton, The Quilt Rambler, taking time to practice what I preach. There is a time for every season under heaven and sometimes that season is to just be still.
Yes, ‘listen’ has the same letters as ‘silent’…a blessing.✨
This was beautiful. Thank you. My grandmother was buried there. Continuing to pray for you my friend! Hugs!
I love your photos and I appreciate your friendship so much. Thank you for your prayers. ????????

This was beautiful, Karen. Thank you for sharing the Scripture and photos. I hope your time was a blessing to you.
Thank you for reminding me that He loves us to come to Him. To enjoy the beauty and things that He has made for us. Love you girl.
How funny! Mitch and I were in Galveston yesterday, too. Had lunch at Gaido’s – early anniversary gift to ourselves.
We went to The Spot! Hope your day was a good one!
Thank you, Karen – so beautiful!
